Welcome to our church.
There are always questions when visiting a new church. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Ascension Presbyterian Church. Below is some information about what to expect when visiting us. If you are visiting from out of town, we will be happy to help you find suitable accommodations.
If you have questions that are not covered here, you can always contact us via our Contact Page.
We are currently renting space at Christ Episcopal Church, located at 151 West Church Ave., Longwood, FL 32750.
We are an inter-generational church. Expect to see and hear young children in the service.
Formal attire is not required, but modest attire appropriate for the worship of God is requested.
We begin at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in the Parrish Hall for a Teaching Hour. (Please be sure not to enter the chapel, as Christ Episcopal Church's service is at that time.)
We move to the sanctuary for worship at 11:30 a.m. Our music is a mix between traditional church hymns and the Psalms. The sermon is preached in an expository fashion, and the Lord’s Supper is celebrated weekly. We have a reverent liturgy that actively engages the congregation in covenant renewal.
After the service, we return to the Parrish Hall to share a fellowship meal after worship. During that time, we eat, talk, play games, etc. There is a playground available for children but parents must be responsible for their supervision.
Lunch & Fellowship
Every Lord’s Day we have a covered-dish lunch after our morning worship service. Families always bring plenty of food so there is always extra for visitors; guests are not expected to bring a dish but are welcome to if they desire. Please plan to stay and fellowship with us around the meal.
